Coach Brar is an enthusiastic, friendly, and responsible mentor whose passion for sports can be seen through his work ethics. He would come in approximately twenty minutes prior to the practice in order to set up the equipment while following through the practice plan of the day. The equipment was mainly provided by the facility such as extra soccer balls, pylons, colored scrimmage vests and a ball pump. Coach Brar would also ensure that the field and weather conditions were safe to play in. During unsafe weather conditions, his backup location for practices was an indoor gym facility provided by the Dixie Soccer Club. A rotational field schedule was also executed by Coach Brar to allow other coaches and participants to use the all fields fairly. The team practice was held twice a week, every Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. There were a total number of fourteen athletes on this league, thus to run these practices effective and efficiently, two assistant coaches would help Coach Brar. Both of the assistant coaches were in their senior year in high school and participated in soccer leagues outside of their high school. Their work contributed towards their volunteer hours required upon graduation. The drills were designed for intermediate participants in their consolidation phase. In this phase participants were able to execute the moments and skill with correct form and were able to perform the skill consistently. The drills for the participants in the main part of the practice lasted for about sixty minutes (Coaching Association of Canada, 2013). Coach Brar focused his practice on the offensive and defensive skills by distributing the fourteen participants into two groups. He also had both the assistant coaches split up so that each group consisted of one assistant coach. The distribution of the participants into two groups allowed the athletes to receive a fair amount of attention while Coach Brar was able to supervise and instruct techniques. Techniques and drills performed represented a progressive part and variable practice of the planning guidelines. During the progressive part of practice, parts of the drill were combined allowing the whole action to occur. For example, Coach Brar asked the athletes to run specific plays passing through pylons and then ultimately scoring. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and passing the ball to other team mates. In variable practice, the sequence of the drill is repeated but the method or factor is altered. While both groups performed the same drill,
