Coach Pennington Research Paper
In my opinion we need more people like Coach Pennington. It’s hard to find people like him. People that are Helpful, has passion, is well respected by others, has a fabulous personality, and many other things. Sometimes he can get a little mad on the court but he’s learning to calm down. He’s a really great guy overall even if it doesn’t look like it. One thing Coach Pennington has is honesty. To me honesty is just always telling the truth. Benjamin Franklin once said, “Honesty is the best policy.” In other words, honesty is the best thing you can have. One time I was honest and I got in trouble but it paid off when I got ice cream. Be honest and rewards will come. That is what honesty is to me. He also has perseverance. To me perseverance

What defines honesty and integrity? Is there a connection between these two words, and what does that imply? Stephen L. Carter, a law professor and writer, questions the common definitions of these words and the their moral interpretations in his essay, “The Insufficiency of Honesty”. In the essay, he makes several about the key differences between what “honesty” and “integrity” actually mean, and I agree with Carter that too often integrity is mistaken for honesty. He mentions that, “…acting in accordance with what you think is right and risking no loss in the process is a rather thin and unadmirable form of honesty”, and I concur that selfishness of that caliber lacks integrity by definition.…

Honesty can be defined as “the quality of being fair and truthful : the quality of being honest” (Merriam Webster, 2016). I can use honesty in my professional life by gaining trust with my coworkers and building connections with them simply by being honest with them.
