Coca Cola Rhetorical Analysis
Advertising is a form of marketing that companies use to persuade an audience to purchase a product. They do this by searching for ways to appeal to people’s wants and needs. Advertising can be found in magazines, newspapers, on television, on the internet, etc. Constant bombardments of advertisements are shown to the general public. This company makes many several advertisements to sell their beverages. Whether it be a sign on a billboard or an annoying ad playing before viewing a YouTube video, Coca-Cola uses several ways to get their message out there. The uses of ethos, pathos, and logos are the main components to their advertisements to make them effective. This company uses ethos, pathos, and logos to persuade its audience to buy Coca-Cola by using its effective marketing campaign.

Pathos is an appeal to emotion. The way that Coca-Cola uses pathos to convince the audience to buy a coke is by the way that they represent emotions of desire and happiness.
Ethos is the form of persuasion through the use of authority or creditability. The audience recognizes that the Coca-Cola Company is one that is trustworthy, credible, and experienced. This persuades them to choose Coke over the competitors or off brands even though it may be more expensive.
Coca-Cola produces many advertisements every year with the purpose to get people to continue to purchase their product. They are effective when it comes to achieving their goal because of the way that they display ethos, pathos, and logos in their marketing campaign. Good use of ethos is used in this advertisement by presenting a trusted logo backed by a history that people relate to being credible and reliable.
