College Diversity, Equity And Inclusion
Good morning,

Thank you for this opportunity to affect future improvements for the college diversity, equity and inclusion environment.

I would like to express my respect and admiration for all the work that you do at the The Centre for Global Citizenship Education and Inclusion. This is amazing and fascinating. Even though during a focus group we had been talking about possible improvements, personally for me, studying at the Centennial College is the best educational experience I have ever had, and this is just the first semester. I have to think hard to point out the negative experience I had at the college.

Also, I’d like to obtain a copy of the final report of each focus group I was in.

I appreciate all of what each one of you have done individually to touch and impact…

I am a strong believer in diversity, diversity is about bringing together people from different cultures and life experiences, which exposes everyone to vital the different cultures and makes the students of Wake Forest University more well-rounded citizens when they graduate. Johnson with executive order 11246 including non-discriminatory policies in the work place and branching out to protect women (A Brief History). Attending this event was a great way for me to start off my spring semester. It gave me a sense of empowerment that I have been longing for some time now. Being an African American on this campus is truly difficult, you feel as if you are not seen or heard because the color of your skin is full of melanin, your eyes aren’t blue, and your hair is coarse and curly. But Mr. Bell made sure every African American was heard and seen within those two hours of him talking on that stage. Yes, he was funny but he was talking about true emotions and situations that African American people face every day.…

Being Hispanic means being a minority in this country who has to compete against other races who are seen as better. As a Hispanic I am compelled to work twice as hard to prove myself and others that I am capable to do the best I possibly can. Several people do not have the advantage we do of being bilingual. People see statistics where there is a miniature percentage of Hispanics in college and automatically believe we do not want to better ourselves but we aspire to make our parents proud. By going to college and receiving a master’s degree I will be able to demonstrate those younger than me that it is possible for us to exceed. We normally feel discouraged by others whose parents went to college and seem to know more but it should not be…
