With the Community Service Project come many needs and priorities. Some will be easier than others, and some will be harder. For example, we would need to recieve volunteers, because only one person could not just do everything on their own. Next, we would need to recieve methods of transporting food to the various families that need it the most, either from buying them or obtaining them through donations. Although these things are important, the most important thing is receiving the food from donations, because the food is what everyone is here for.
While there may be many things to deal with to make this operation work, there is a plethora of things that we can do to combat these internal problems to fight the real problem. To fight how we need volunteers, we could go on campaigns to collect volunteers and donations from good sumaritans. To obtain the transportation needed, we could find cheaper vehicles that would fit our needs, or some of our volunteers might lend or donate us their vehicles. Finally, we could put out a survey to homes around Contra Costa County to get an idea of the neediest homes in our county.
While we might have a plan for our nonprofit organization, there are still things we need to investigate before we start anything. Firstly, we need to know exactly how many families need food, and where they live. We also need to know roughly how many people will volunteer after we get the word out, based on figures from other organizations. We need to know what vehicles to buy that is the most efficient for the money that we put in it. Finally, we need to know what food is most preferred, and what is the most nutritious for the value, so we know what to ask people for.
