Dogs and Cats
A study done by The American Animal Hospital Association say; that if people were stranded on a desert island, they would prefer the company of their pet. Dogs and cats play a huge role in our lives, weather it’s a family pet or a human service pet. They have made their way into our homes and our hearts with their quirky and fun loving personalities. Dogs and cats have been around for thousands of years providing our ancestors with love and enjoyment. “About 15,000 years of friendship between man and dog have helped man's best friend to develop unique ways of understanding humans”, (November 21, 2002 Marsha Walton CNN). It is clear to see that these playful animals have made their way into our hearts and cultures. Today as modern society expands and encroaches on nature the dog and the cat are still the leading choice companions for pets not just in our modern societies but all over the world.
Dogs and Cats are mans domesticated friends and animals both with different traits and personalities that play a huge role in our everyday lives and deciding which is the best fit for us is understanding and appreciating what each species of dog and cat have to offer.
The dog is considered to be mans best friend. They love their owner and strangers unconditionally and demand our full and undivided attention. Their most prominent trait is their childlike playfulness and their relentless desire to run and chase things around. Dogs are the happiest when they get to play and interact with their owner as much as possible. Dogs are social, happy creatures that will wonder off sometimes if not supervised to find someone that will pet them and give them attention. Like all
