Compare And Contrast Athletic Training And Training
When you compare and contrast personal fitness trainers and strength and conditioning coaches to athletic trainers, you will learn that importance, versatility, and scope of the athletic profession. In my opinion, not only are they both certified in their field individual field of expertise; they provide a safe environment for their athletes.
Personal trainers are health professionals who, their health and fitness needs. They design safe and effective exercise programs, and provide the guidance to help clients achieve their personal health/ fitness’s goals. They respond to situations as well.
Strength and conditioning specialist are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. They conduct sport specific testing sessions, design and implements safe effective strength training and conditiong programs and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention.
Athletic trainers are professionals who are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize patients and limit activity and participation in athletics, work and life. So as you can see there are some pretty big (and not so big) differences between the professions. The largest differences between the professions are that personal trainers deal with fitness but not injury. Strength & Conditioning Specialists deal with athletic performance but not injury treatment. Athletic Training deals with treating injuries that are a result of participation in activity. We combine the professions of personal training, Strength & Conditioning, and Athletic Training. We can deal with the full scope of athletic injury as well as just someone who wants to lose some
