Generally, compatibility means to exist in harmony. But what exactly does that mean for two doctrines to be compatible? Some would say that they have to get along, others would say they have to be in sync. I would argue that the two have to be similar and be able to compromise to have one main belief. Christians trust and rely on a relationship with God; Humanists think good works will allow you to have a good life. Christianity and Humanism are two doctrines that may come across completely contrasting, but they actually have more in common than one may think. They are similar in how you live your daily life, though not when it comes to the religious and spiritual beliefs. A compromise is needed here to be able to combine both of these ideals.
