God …show more content…
To Christians God is many things.
God is the creator of all things good; he created the universe and the heavens in six days (rested on the seventh day). God is the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God is the ultimate reality to Christians. God is the all-knowing; God will lead you in the right direction if you allow him to. These characteristics of God are important to the Christian worldview because they live their lives by the word of God. They believe that they were put on earth for a reason and that God has a plan for everyone as long as you live with him in your heart. God loves humanity so much that he sacrificed and gave his only son to save all of
us.
Humanity Human nature in the Christian worldview has two parts to it. They believe that humans are created in God’s image and that after Adam and Eve disobeyed God that all humans are sinful. Christians believe that everyone is born pure in the image of God himself. Babies are born knowing no other than to love and trust. As people get older there are choices to be made good or bad they are choices. Some make good choices and other make bad ones. At some point in life we all make a bad choice that is part of being human. There is always evil (serpent) out there trying to lure you to make the wrong move in order to convince you that the bad choice is not so bad after all. Adam and Eve knew nothing but goodness until the serpent convinced Eve to eat from the forbidden tree. At that point everything changed for Adam and Eve such as things change today if you make the wrong choice in life.
Jesus
According to the bible and the Christian worldview, Jesus was fully God and fully human. This teaching of Jesus full divinity and full humanity is important to Christianity because God sent Jesus as a representative of himself. Jesus was not sent as a king and did not expect to be worshiped. Jesus came as fully human and worked as a servant. Jesus lived his life in a way to show us all how we should be living. Jesus spread the word of God. God sent a part of himself in human form as his only son and Jesus died for all of us.
