He said “ Even though I was in no position to be greedy with my salary, $6.50 was lower than i was looking for.” But if Shepherd needed a job so badly he should've taken the job while trying to find a new. You can say he was a stubborn man. Unlike McCandless, Shepherd never traveled anywhere. In a way shepherd really never impacted anyone, it was more like people impacted him. He looked up to people , rather than people looking up to him. He looked up to Derrick because he was great at his job. I believe that Christopher McCandless was influenced by a great deal of circumstances, according to the information I have encountered during my time with the book called “Into the Wild,” one of those conditions was apparently his philosophical beliefs. I felt that his beliefs of being able to survive on his own without anybody’s help was only one of the foolish mistakes he had made throughout his whole escapade. There was a great deal of help offered to him in order for him to survive longer or even just make his adventure much easier than it would’ve been. According to Krakauer, “Gallien, a union worker who was the last person to see McCandless, offered to drive Alex, McCandless, all the way to Anchorage, buy him some decent gear…’No thanks…

It is said that Chris McCandless was a bright and ignorant person according to Cellarmans argument and maybe others point of views. In my perspective I agree but disagree as well although I agree with the argument that was said by Callarmans. As I state a quote that was said by Shaun Callarman “ had no business going into Alaska with his Romantic silliness”. As it says “Romantic silliness” he was meaning that he wanted to die in a poetic but as well as a beautiful surrounding of love and happiness. He traveled to find himself into the wilderness to figure out who he is.…

Logically I will begin to observe and examine the decisions McCandles’s made that prematurely ended his life. McCandles was for one dissatisfied by the way he was living within society, he would rather live as far away from our society then be surrounded by materialistic things and authority. Additionally, Christopher was alienated but the fact that people such as his parents did not understand him, however, loved him unconditionally. Christopher rejected materialism; when he leaves his parents and donates all his savings to charity, abandons his car and burns his money in the desert these acts lead to his believed ultimate…

For Chris the way he started his journey was a rather unique way of doing it. Chris was a smart person who had finished high school and everyone thought that he was going to a nice law school. When Chris discovered his father’s double life, he was “smoldering anger… harboring his resentment, letting bad feelings build and build” (Krakauer 122). His entire life, his father set high…

In order to fulfill his desire to find what he wants, he leaves his family without bothering about how they feel. His mother, Billie says, “Chris had instructed the post office to hold the letters until August 1, apparently so we wouldn’t know anything was up… it made us very, very worried” (22). McCandless is making a decision to disappear, into the wild, without considering the fact that his parents will be very worried about him. This is really illogical because all children should understand how their parents would feel if someday they left. Moreover, by leaving his current life which could have been filled with a bright future, McCandless shows that he just wants to run away from reality. He is such a coward because he does not want to deal with anything that he supposed to do; rather, he keeps giving reasons for his leaving by saying he wants experiences to understand his life. Actually, in order to make sense of his life, all he has to do is maintaining his current life. Also, the fact that he dies, proves that his journey is about exploring death rather than life. There is no point to go into the wild because it cost him his life. It is the biggest mistake that McCandless could ever…
