2. Although, the Mediterranean, Paleo, and Lacto-Ovo vegetarian diet share a few similarities they are different in many ways. For example, the Lacto-Ovo vegetarian diet is plant-based diet, meaning meat product are not allowed; while on the other the Mediterranean and Paleo diet both allow meat in their eating plan. However, the Mediterranean diet only allows the specific type of meat, such as fish and poultry in moderation. The Paleo diet does not focus on the type of meat and its limitation. If I had no other option and I had to pick between these three eating plans for myself, I probably would have to pick the Mediterranean style diet. I chose the Mediterranean style diet because it allows important food groups and eliminates refined sugar and processed food. I believe this diet is the best for me because I will be able to incorporate more fruit and vegetables in my daily meal plan and I will be able to also eat meat in moderation without having to cut it out completely. Another great benefit of the Mediterranean diet is that I will be easy for me to switch to since I am already in the progressed in cutting out red meat and processed
