Decision making supports us to deal productively with decisions about our lives. This can have significances for health if young people actively make decisions about their actions in relation to health by weighing the different choices, and what effects different judgements may have.
Likewise, problem-solving enables us to deal productively with problems in our lives. Substantial problems that are left unsettled can cause mental stress and give rise to accompanying physical straining.
