Comprehensive Sex Education In Schools

Comprehensive sex education plays a key role in the growth of young people. It provides knowledge that aids in the development of teenagers and helps them gain a positive outlook on sexuality. Comprehensive sex education is a process that promotes learning about sexuality and achieving sexual health. It is an effective and beneficial necessity that should be implemented in all schools. Because of a few basic, yet crucial reasons, I believe that schools need better and more comprehensive sex education.
The first reason as to why I believe that schools need better and more comprehensive sex education is because it reduces risk behaviors in teens. Comprehensive sex education teaches students about the use of contraceptives which results in the reduction of teenage pregnancy rates. It educates students to be more aware of the possible negative outcomes of unprotected sexual intercourse such as unintended pregnancy. If a pregnancy is not planned before conception, a woman may not be in optimal health for childbearing. Given that a constructive and age-appropriate system of sex education is provided to students by schools, I think that students would be able to improve entirely in the aspect of reproductive and sexual health.
