Conjunctivitis (Red Eye)- infection/viral inflammation
People with conjunctivitis have a redness in the eye and have a sticky discharge of mucus and water from the eye.
People with conjunctivitis may experience a burning feeling in the eye. Or the eye may feel very itchy.
Children with conjunctivitis do not have to stay away from school however parents should notify the school.
Depending on what is causing the eye to be agitated depends on what treatment is given. One treatment that a doctor may prescribe you is eye drops to reduce soreness. Another treatment doctors may prescribe is antibiotics to clear up infection.
