Corey Monteith was a celebrity casted in the TV show GLEE. Cory did drugs which caused his death at an early age. He overdosed on a combined drug intoxication on heroin and a champagne cocktail. Heroin could also be known as snow,Big H, Hell dust, Horse and thunder. This drug is injected by a needle. Some short term consequences of this drug are Rush, slowed breathing, clouded mental functioning, nausea and vomiting, sedation;drowsiness, and hypothermia. Some long term consequences of heroin are bad teeth, inflammation of the gums, cold sweats, itching, coma and muscular weakness. Some other things you should know about heroin is that an estimated 13.5 million people in the world take opioids. In 2007, 93% of the world's opium supply came
from afghanistan. The 2007 National Survey on Drug use and health reported 153,000. Current heroin users in the US in 2007. Opiates, mainly heroin, were involved in 4 of every 5 drug-related deaths in Europe, according to a 2008 report from the European monitoring center on drugs and drug addiction. By learning about Cory's death and also many others due to the injection of heroin really showed me that there is a lot more to doing drugs than many people may think. Doing drugs can risk everything you have. It's not worth it.
