Cost Of Going To Mars
"In 1989, NASA's Space Exploration Initiative Mars plan was expected to cost about $400 billion. According to Zubrin's 1990 estimate" (Mars Direct), today the projected cost is around US$ 10-22 billion. The race to Mars has begun, with this race extending father than government agencies like NASA. The Mars race has even become privatized, with companies like Mars One and Space X designing ways to hopefully reach Mars first. The mission to Mars and the first stages to colonize Mars will be very costly, keeping that in mind what are the economic factors of going to Mars?
How much will it be to get there?
We have come a long way , with new innovations and technology, what was once a $400 billion mission is now a fraction of that cost. "The report

"The soil on mars does have enough nutrients that plants would need to survive, depending on where they land, fertilizer may be added"(Jordan, “Can Plants”). Plants have been grown in space aboard the ISS, so there's no question that its impossible. By being able to grow food in outer space, we wouldn’t need to send as much food or resources up to Mars, again lowering the cost to be able to colonize Mars. How much would it cost people?
How much would it be to go to Mars? Currently, the only company planning on sending humans to Mars commercially is SpaceX "By Musk’s admittedly loose estimates, buying yourself a single ticket to Mars right now (using non-existent tech) would probably cost around $10 billion Stokton, “Elon Musk Announces”). However, once their Interplanetary Transport system is well established then a ticket to Mars is estimated to cost $200,000 (Stockton,”Elon Musk Announces).
Conclusion
The colonization of Mars will be costly, especially in the beginning stages, but that does not under mind the multitude of opportunities this has to offer. This can greatly stimulate and expand the economy, much like the industrial revolution did. The colonization of Mars will bring about new jobs we couldn’t have imagined; we just need to give it a

The time to colonize Mars would certainly be required when the Earth becomes uninhabitable as the global warming rises up. When that happens, Mars has the potential to become the most habitable planet in our solar system. Nevertheless, even with positive extrapolation of robotic manufacturing techniques, Mars will not have the labor required to make it fully self-sufficient; until and unless its population is in millions. Thus it will be necessary for colonization of Mars to import goods from Earth.…
