Creative Writing: The Sniper

The clan later got intel on Ash’s mom’s killer or V as Howard called him. A messenger of the society got word that the V’s hideout was on the island Ni’ihau of Hawaii. Also known at the Forbidden Isle. Howard, the clan leader started gathering troops, about 30 members and starting planning for the mission. Howard decided that Ash should go to on the mission with the rest of the group to test his abilities. The clan arrived at the headquarters in Ni’ihau. Howard scoped the area to see which entrances were blocked or guarded. He saw that the front of the building only had 1 person guarding it. He looked around to make sure that no alarms would go off if he eliminated him. Howard signaled the sniper to take out the guy. The sniper gave a quick
Do not kill or hurt anyone if possible. We just want to know his plans and whereabouts.” Howard ordered.
Ash and the troops entered the building in silence and started searching. The group split up in 2. One for the first floor and one for the second floor and then they could meet up on the 3rd floor.
Ash’s group was in charge of inspecting the first floor for any information. Ash didn’t know what to do and none of the crew members were very eager to help him. So, he decided to pick up a ball from the corner of the room and bounce it to the wall and back. The team didn’t seem to care. He thought that as long as he stays out of trouble, then he’s okay.
He bounced the ball for a few minutes until he got bored and slammed it on the ground. Everyone looked at him as if telling him to be quiet, but suddenly a trap door opened up. He couldn’t see what was down there but he sure was curious. He started putting his foot down to the ladder when one of the teammates grabbed his arm and shook his head. Ash didn’t want to disobey his higher ups and he backed away.
At that moment, the unit heard an explosion from above and rushed to the stairs to see what was going on. When they got in the halls, they saw that the ceiling above was
