Creative Writing: The Three Little Alpacas
The Three Little Alpacas
Once upon a time in a world where rabid squirrels viciously eat alpacas, three little alpacas sleepily woke up to terrible news. They were outgrowing their mother's’ home and were forced to build their own. Normally their mother was a very kind person and accepting of others, but she was getting tired of a cramped house.
“I'm sorry to do this but I’m going to have to make you leave. You are too old for my care and too big for this house.”
“When you leave be careful of the rabid squirrels, because they will try to eat you and destroy your house.”
The three alpacas named John, Jamal, and Hermes were on their way down a long dark road. Along the road the three alpacas met a man carrying paper.

Only having three legs didn’t bother him much, but when building a house he was very limited. Johns’ house turned out to be a one room small cottage with a fence and a gate. He wasn't able to make a farm of a well for food or water so he relied on neighbors for necessities. Jamal's construction went a lot smoother. He was able to use his solid gold to make a four room villa with a watch tower, alarm, and a solid gold fence. Jamal was also clueless, he didn't understand that not patching holes in his walls would give the squirrels an advantage. He was aware of his surroundings and very careful with where he put things. Little Hermes construction was the best of them all. He had a 14 bedroom mansion with four guard towers, an army of tanks and spiked walls. Hermes was very cautious of his house and always kept it in amazing shape, making his the most fortified. On a dark rainy day John was making a tuna sandwich when he heard a scratching noise on his door. He turned around as his whole house was ripped to shreds by a giant rabid squirrel. Thinking as fast as he could he sprinted out to his garage, hopped in his paper airplane and flew to his brother Jamal's house. Along the way he saw a giant pack of rabid squirrels heading towards Jamal’s house. He landed after about ten long minutes of gliding towards …show more content…

Hermes was out in his garden when he heard an unusually loud noise roar from the right wall. He ran to the wall when he saw the crack. A squirrel had torn off a spike leaving a giant seam in the wall. The sad part was that this was a distraction, the squirrels were digging a tunnel underneath Hermes’ farm and needed him to leave the area so he wouldn’t know. Right when he turned around he was eaten whole. The squirrels then stormed the mansion eating the two alpacas and ending the adventure. The mother never knew about the disaster as she was eaten two days later by the same rabid squirrel. She was walking to Hermes house when she saw the disaster, she saw the broken walls, the destroyed house, and worst of all her kids blood everywhere. She thought back to the point when her kids where still living with her, regretting ever kicking them out. In a deep train of thoughts a squirrel snuck up and swallowed her

My division was stationed in Normandy, France, at the time of the Allied invasion on June 6, 1944. Toward the end of August or early September, Canadian troops captured me near Dieppe.10 I was with a small group of men who were cut off from our main company and overrun by motorized Allied units. For several days we wandered around searching for our unit, until one night we strayed into a field camp of Canadian soldiers. You can well imagine the astonishment all around when we suddenly appeared in their midst. The Canadians didn’t have a guard posted. This was probably better for all because otherwise we might have exchanged gunfire. Instead, we peacefully turned over our weapons and in return received cigarettes.…

We have explored a variety of writing styles with food as the central theme throughout. My first essay was an ode to steak, which took you through all the senses from the hint of smell to the first savory bite. The second essay was a deconstruction of meatballs and how my first true cooking experience came about. Next was an essay on the adventures of Chinese cuisine and the garlic phenomenon. The last essay was to capture and critique a moment shared with lobster. I am proud of all my essays. If I must choose a favorite; then I select “No Ordinary Meatballs”. The essays on steak, Chinese cuisine, and lobster were all experience-based accounts. These were unique accounts, which were sought out, in one form or another. However, my meatballs…

How could he just treat us all like we were cattle as if it was nothing? The speedometer crept up to 60 miles per hour. Didn’t he care that people everywhere were starving? How could he do this? When he was elected he promised that he would Make America Great Again. 70 miles per hour. I had to get to the rally. We needed change, we could be that change. 80 miles per hour. My thoughts were interrupted as my eyes caught the reflecting glow of red and blue lights paint the night sky behind me. Crap. I pulled over and turned off the car, ready to feed the officer behind me a great line about how my grandmother was on her death bed and wanted me and only me to be at her side. My eyes shifted and glanced to the side mirror, the officer straightened out his already tucked in uniform and smoothed his hands over his hair as he made his way from his cruiser. Great, I thought. I wonder how many reprimands this stiff is gonna write me up for. My record already had 14 points on it for picketing, 6 more and I’d be in real trouble. He knocked on the window…

After reading these three stories, I have decided a theme to go with them. The connections with the animals and them responding to certain situations lead me to the conclusion that the theme is animals think a lot like humans do. The animals ambush prey, understand what humans are telling them, and even use tools to get food. All that is proof that animals will think like us and use their talents to survive. The following paragraphs will show why I have decided that that is the theme of the three stories.…

Busybody thought everything was alright until something horrible happened. It was February 27th, no sign of Johnny Dorset. Mrs. Busybody could finally lie down and relax without being disturbed. Everything was starting to seem so peaceful, relaxing, and calm. She was slowly drifting off to sleep. Then, she heard someone yelling as loud as an elephant. Mrs. Busybody sat up to see the worst surprise ever. The terrible and mean Johnny Dorset has come back. She got ran around the house faster than a cheetah. Awe Man! , “I thought I would never see him again”, she said. “Lord, why me? Is this punishment for popping Johnny’s little, red ball or breaking all his sticks so he wouldn’t be able to play that Indian game”, she thought. Whichever one it was please forgive me. All of sudden, a thought struck her head. “I can leave for a few days”. Mrs. Busybody quickly ran to my dresser and pulled out a week’s worth of clothes. What about my two cats’? , she thought. “I’ll just leave them here”. “My cats are missing limbs and ears and they’re beaten up. If they weren’t in such poor condition, I would gladly them with me”. But, Johnny decided he wanted to throw medium sized rocks at them. Poor cats, they haven’t been the same since then. She finished getting her items together. Mrs. Busybody walked outside to the old, raggedy, blue car in the drive way. She started driving and the car started making funny noises. The dusty, slow car broke down in front of a big cabin. This is better than nothing. “At least I’m away from Johnny”, she said with a stupid grin on her…
