I believe in redemption as well as punishment, I feel like when I gain the psychological knowledge, I will be able to open up a different side of criminal behaviour to the world. And more importantly, help offenders regain composure in their lives. I became fascinated in crime particularly from that of a Psychological viewpoint on my own. I am intrigued by human behaviour and how this applies to the criminal justice system. I have always been especially interested in youth offenders and sexual crimes.
My passion for psychology has opened me up to a world of entertainment in this genre. I am particularly interested in the true crime books by Ann Rule, crime channels such as Crime+Investigation & True Crime with Aphrodite Jones. I was captivated by, the controversial and unethical 'Stanford Prison' experiment carried out by Philip G. Zimbardo. I was the assistant head girl for my whole school, this was a big responsibility but I loved it. This was rewarding and helpful for developing my communication skills. Throughout school I often received certificates for attendance and good behaviour; other achievements included those in the arts. I was in many school showcases and performances, either as an actress or a singer. I studied drama at GCSE and A level. I feel that taking this courses boosted up my confidence levels and amplified my communication skills greatly.
