• Which Essay was harder to write? Why?
Writing the first (UC Personal Statement) essay was harder, because in the first draft I completely went off-topic. Before my professor’s review, I thought it would be a perfect essay but it was not good. I wrote a lot about my achievements but those achievements were not reflecting my personal and professional images to a reader. After the review and suggestion, I definitely found my way to develop topic concise and related, and I am sure the second draft was 85 percent better than first one draft.
• What changes did you make when you revised each essay?

My strengths are that I can quickly figure out to develop a complete essay for a specific topic. For example, writing hook, thesis, introduction, supporting points and conclusion of the essay. My weaknesses are in the punctuation and grammar. For example, in the first In-class writing test I did very well in the organization, thesis and point development but I still toke a lower grade of “C” because of spelling errors and grammar.
• How do you plan to keep improving during the remained of this semester?
I have been getting better in reading articles and writing essay. Before the semester, it was difficult for me to extract the mean idea of an articles. Now I can understand and analyze long stories with one time reading. I will continue my progress through doing regular assignment. I will further practice writing at home and I am planning to go to writing center at least twice when I write each of my future essays. In addition, I will try to improve my grammar, writing and reading during
