Critiquing A Nursing Article
After searching the internet for quite some time, I finally stumbled across an article that captured my attention and that I knew was the article I wanted to use for this assignment. I decided this article was representative because it had met all the standards I had set for the article I was looking for. This article talks about an individual’s personal beliefs on what being a nurse means to them. I wanted to find an article that expressed ones love and their desire to be in the nursing field, and after reading this article I think it fit my criteria perfectly. I know that it is a reliable source because the article is from the Journal of Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship, it was written by a nurse, and I found it on scholarly website with an edu domain name, a domain name that is limited to U.S. postsecondary institutions that are accredited. …show more content…

    In order to define a personal philosophy of nursing, it is very important to understand the meaning of the term “philosophy”. As for me, this issue can be perfectly addressed with the definition that presents philosophy as a specific attitude towards life and reality that evolves according to the beliefs of each nurse (Edwards, 1997).
