Cultural Competence In Health And Social Care
Cultural competence is to honour and respect the different cultures within our society. It is to understand and acknowledge the differences of the families within our centre and community.
We need to be able to find ways of communicating with families of different cultures to be able to work with them, to make sure they feel heard and to see their point of view on how they would like their child to be educated.
We do not ignore people’s values and beliefs, instead we celebrate them within the centre to always show them in a positive light to help the children understand and acknowledge the other cultures surrounding them.
We need to incorporate the different cultures within the centre. We need to teach children of the different cultures surrounding
