Current Events in Business Research
Introduction
I can say that to the best of my knowledge I have not been a part of any type of business research at my employment, but I have been directly impacted by the changes made due impart to the research they have conducted. There are many different steps that are involved and whether our CEO John Legere walked in at the right time or he is a quick mover, we have made some drastic changes.
The Research Process
There are many steps involved in the process of business research and most of them evolve over time. According to Exhibit 1-4 (p. 11) there is seven steps into reviewing the research process. I want to focus on the Data Collection and Preparation and Management Decision for this paper. Data Collection and Preparation
T-Mobile, US has worked hard over the past year to overcome a negative stereotype. Over the years we have collected information from our JD Powers and Associates findings as well as internal focus groups to determine that things needed to change. In October 2012, John Legere was hired as the new CEO of this struggling company. He took this step to the next level. He physically has gone into our stores and the competitions stores to talk to the sales agents and the customers. Primarily he talked to customers to discover what was the “poke” in the eye for customers and how could he change this. He was able to gather together some not so surprising information, information he already knew but he then had the backup data to make the changes he needed.
Management Decision
Legere could put together some cutting edge strategies together because of the business research that has been conducted. He has helped change and revolutionize the wireless industry because of putting something together that no one was thinking about. He has cut cost where he can, he has developed better rate
