The Department became involved with this family on 6/19/15, a 51A was filed and supported for neglect of Issaac by Father, after Krystal called the police, stating that James was trying to hurt her. Krystal left the home with the child after the police came to the home.
On, 7/19/15, a second 51A was filed and supported for neglect of Issac, by the father. Krystal reportedly had gone to the home to pick up Isaac, after a weekend visit with his father. The police were called by a witness due to concerns regarding domestic violence. It was reported James had hurt Krystal. …show more content…
Police and Swat surrounded the home however, Mr. Johnson had fled the home.
Krystal and Issac went to stay with a family member in Wilmington after these events. Issac attended daycare and Krystal began trying to look for work. Krystal alleged she had no contact with James and did not know where he was and reported being afraid he would find her and possibly hurt or kill her.
While in Wilmington, Issac engaged in EI services and attended day care. It was later disclosed to the Department by Krystal that she had sought treatment for substance use and was receiving suboxone daily through Middlesex Recovery in Woburn. The family member eventually requested Krystal to leave and find permanent housing for herself and her son. Krystal was placed in a shelter in Lowell however, did not stay in the shelter and began living in her car.
In August 2016, James was arrested by the Boston Police fugitive squad and was held on $1,500.00 bail. Krystal went and bailed James out and he was living with a friend in
