He implemented a series of tests, which looked at the children’s communication, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, problem solving, and personal-social skills. Ghazavi tested 196 children and found that approximately 95% of the children in daycare were above the average levels for their particular age group. Therefore, his research concluded that daycare did in fact help the children develop these skills faster than the average child, which supports the assertions that daycare provides children with educational advantages, better socialization skills and independence. In addition, an article written by Fox News referred to a group of studies that were conducted by JAMA Psychiatry, which found that when children in daycare were compared to those who did not attend daycare, daycare children were proven to have less emotional problems, more opportunity to grow, higher intellects, and better overall behavior. Researchers stated that if a child’s mother were depressed at home then the child would likely adopt and internalize that feature from living in that environment. Thus, the child in question would not be emotionally healthy
