    It was quite depressing to watch the film to be honest, but was definitely a wonderful movie and was able to what children of deaf parents may go through. I may not understand what the girl in the movie went through completely, but it was really profound and made me sad. The scene that made me sad the most was when they went to undertaker to by a coffin for her dead brother. She was on grief that her brother died in such a young age, but she did not have time to think about it or be sad and stay in her room, but she needed to translate their parents saying they did not have enough money to buy a good coffin for him, or an undertaker saying “what kind of people are you?” to her own parents, when she was only 10 years old. It made me think of the frustration both the deaf parents and the hearing children go through. Children like Margaret would feel like they are the only way that their parents can connect to the hearing world; they hear through their children and they speak through them. It is a huge responsibility and they may feel like they live for their parents. But at the same time, I can definitely feel the frustration that the parents go through. They need bring their children everywhere they go and make sure they understand everything when they talk to hearing people. The story about the car dealer that he deceived Margaret ’s father and took money from him made me really sad mad angry.
