In Case Study 48: Records Check, the moral principals are challenged in the hiring process of the city 's Parks Department. In this particular case the leader is Becky whom is the personnel specialist with the Parks Department. In this case study, there were some concerns on how to get background checks from the department of the State Bureau of Investigations which also incorporated felony convictions and records of arrests. In this case, Becky had many candidates for short-term positions within the Play in the Park Program. The Play in the Park program lets working moms to drop off their kids while school 's out during the summer. Knowing oneself is essential when facing challenges or moral choices, connecting with those whom have various ideas in making decisions, and identifying foundations of approval. In this case study. Becky addressed her worries on the background checks with the manager which verified her ability to fit into place as upper management. Becky could have decided to sign off on the two applicants and move on to the next step of the interviewing process but did the right thing by discussing things out first with her manager. Effective leaders distinguish the importance of good communication. Communication is a two-way process of giving and receiving information which is important to have with any organization out here.
