Song one
The first song I would care to talk about is TikTok, by Ke$ha. During fourth grade, I was a fan of this song, although it might have been a bit mature for my age at that point. I remember using this song for my fourth-grade talent show. I also used it during auditions for the school musical. During my childhood, I was shy at times but could also be quite silly. my demeanor could change in a very short period of time. I enjoyed theater and performance a lot because I could be a completely different person. This gave me a way to explore myself and who I wanted to be in relation to others. This song reminds me of how carefree and fun life was at that point. I was a late sleeper and my fourth-grade self-related that fact to the lyric

I moved to San Diego and went to school in Encinitas. I preferred my old school and this new school was quite unsettling. The move was a hardship for me, I had to leave my friends, my school, and my home. everything I knew was gone, which made me very uncomfortable. This always reminded me of the song Under The Sea which was always one of my favorites during this time. This song talks about how life is better in the ocean. Sebastian sings, "darling it's better, down where it's wetter." to me this was a metaphor for how life was better before I moved. and that I should have stayed there. I also enjoyed this song because I was in a production of the little mermaid. that was one of my favorite songs from it. "The little mermaid" has been a great memory in my life because the production reminds me of fun times I spent with good …show more content…
I like this song because of its lyrics. the song is about how Alexander Hamilton grew up and his upbringing as a "bastard orphan son of a whore." I relate to Alex because of how he was brought up and throughout the musical, his upbringing is a large part of his life. He believes he has to prove himself and it is a hardship for him. His past is something he wants and needs to overcome. It is a defining part of his life, just as my upbringing is a huge part of my life. Throughout my life, I have always felt a need to be better and to do better than any and all my predecessors. I believe that we can always learn and grow, from both my life and those that have come before

Ralph has chosen this song as he loves it. It's a song he'd love to be able to play on guitar. Ralph has stated he loves to play his guitar. However he gets frustrated when he try's to play it on his own. He often has his guitar out when he is relaxing in the unit and has stated he wants to write a song about his mum. Ralph actually sung part of a song he had thought up. The lyrics were very warm towards his mum. However this song was very short and maybe if Ralph gets better at the guitar with these lessons he will be able to put a whole song together about his mum. This would be a very positive event as Ralph finds it very difficult to talk about his family at all.…

. This song is about someone having to live up to the expectations someone else wants for them. They are pressured into having to be exactly like that person. They are nonstop always being smothered, and absolutely hate the fact that they cannot be who they want to be. They eventually get tired of listening to him/her and start living to their own expectations.…

I moved to Alabama from Texas at the beginning of my 6th grade year. The day before leaving, my best friend since kindergarten came over and stayed the night with me, dreading falling asleep and waking up to a nightmare of having to say goodbye. The morning came and so did the tears, I had packed up my entire life, said goodbye to all my family, friends, my house, and even my dad. How was I, an insecure, and VERY shy little girl supposed to just leave everything I knew and loved and start all the way over when my life was just getting started? It was a long 12 hour drive from Dallas, Texas, to little town Guntersville, Alabama and it gave me a long time to pity myself, hate my mom for moving me, get over the hate and be excited, and then be upset all over again. Alabama. Why Alabama? We had a choice, Alabama or Florida, and we chose here??? Me being a stubborn, bratty, over dramatic pre-teen, I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. I thought the world was ending.…

This lyric describes me because I was raised to think you have to work hard and not know how something's going to work out until your done. This also describes me because being polite will get you respect that you and others deserve for hard work they do. Also there are traditions missing like saying please and thank you when getting something and not taking other people for granted. This also describes me because I like to think…

However, my family moved to Tucson, AZ and that is when I went to school for the first time. The transition from being home schooled to a place where I did not know anyone was never racking. I was not around people I knew . Now living in a different state, my mother and grandmother found relief from being able to send us to a better school. While my mom worked at a hospital, my grandmother was our caretaker. My grandmother relied on my aunt whom also lived in the area to drive us to school every morning and pick us up. But occasionally that would be an issue, because my aunt had a job, went to college and had her own children to take care of. One year later, my grandmother became sick and we moved back to Philadelphia because there were better…

For the first two months of my freshman year there wasn't a single piece of furniture on the floor so I couldn't print out papers for school because the printer wasn't set up, I couldn't sleep on my bed but on the mattress itself. The whole process was very irritating and stressful all I could do was hope I didn't fail my first semester and unfortunately I didn't have many friends to help me. When we finally got settled after a year living in Arlington, TX my parents decided to yet again move to a new house because they didn't feel comfortable and neither did my sister and I. During my sophomore year in high school we moved to Dallas, TX a little bit closer to our school. It was annoying to move into another house again We had to pack everything once again and undergo the process of moving from one house to the…

I have never known a regular family dynamic. Because of this, I recognize the divorce as a loss of normalcy and weakening relationship with God and my dad. My mom knew in her gut that something was wrong and my dad had been lying.…

It was tough because the moving meant to me to give up what I had built on and start all over again. Especially the fact that I was going to a high school without knowing anybody was terrifying. However, there was nothing I could do except adapting myself to the new surroundings. This change influenced me to be more courageous than I was in California because whether the moving was my decision or not, I didn’t hide within my boundary and stepped out to fit myself into a different environment: joining clubs, starting a conversation with students at school, and spending time with host…

This song has a positive look on a relationship between the lead singer and her boyfriend of a few years. One lyric says, “I should be over all these butterflies, but I’m into you… and baby even on our worst nights in into you.” This is stating that no matter how hard it gets and how ever many low points they have in their relationship they will always stick it out and move past it because they love each other. This song overall is an example to the society that not all relationships are bad, and that the man and woman should be equal, loving, and supportive of each other. This is something very important young women can take away from the song.…

It was hard for me and my brothers because we loved our neighborhood so much and our school in Virginia. My last day was a day when we played soccer in the rain, I just couldn’t believe that we were moving and that day I just had so many memories in my head but was only for one year but it was as if I lived and played with these kids for so long, I was hurt when we moved back. Moving back to DC in 7th grade wasn’t so bad since I was able to hangout with my old friends but went to a whole new different school with majority of African Americans. It wasn’t that bad to be honest, but it was the school that was kind of bad since so many kids were fighting and bullying, etc. I had one friend who went there and introduced me to other kids and that was when I played for the soccer team…
