The journey I would never forget I love to travel a lot, I love to go to other countries and see what life is like there and experience their cultures; I have been to so many countries but none of them interested me like the ‘Cayman Islands’. Cayman Islands is a very small country in the Caribbean, I was told that it is so small that you can actually walk to the end of it. My dad lives in the Cayman Islands and I lived in Nigeria, my dad usually comes back on holidays to visit. I had never been to the Cayman Islands also known as ‘Grand Cayman’; I had no idea of what it was like. One afternoon, a week before summer holidays I was in the living room watching TV, when my phone rang and it was my dad and he said he would want me to come to the Cayman Islands for summer vacation; I was so excited, I was anxious and curious. School was finally closed and it was summer holidays and I started packing my clothes and things I needed for my vacation. On the day of my trip, when I arrived at the airport my dad was already waiting for me; when I saw him I ran quickly to him and gave him a hug. My dad looked a little bit different from the last time I saw him, he arms and chest looks bigger, seemed like he had been weight lifting, he had more muscles and looked strong like a wrestler. I asked him “dad have you been working out”? And he smiled and answered “yes, I have been working out darling “. He helped me with my luggage to the car, as we drove home I asked so many questions, I could not see much because it was night time and everywhere was dark, all I could see was buildings with lights. We arrived at the house, dinner was already made; macaroni and cheese, rice, chicken and vegetables, I was so hungry, I quickly went upstairs took a shower and headed downstairs for dinner I was taught to always pray before eating so I said a prayer and my dad and I ate until we could eat no more.
