Descriptive Essay: Harpoon Willies
Speaking about dinner reservations, Lake Geneva’s food is to die for. One of my favorite places to go is Harpoon Willies. It's a bar slash restaurant near the Geneva bay. On a nice sunny and perfect day what could be more appetizing than an all out American Burger? My favorite thing to order is the “Harpoon Willie Burger”. Picture this, a perfectly well done angus beef patty with fresh lettuce, added with the juiciest tomatoes, a slice of bright yellow cheese and topped with a grilled onion. Hands down, one of the most delicious burgers i’ve ever tasted. In addition, it comes with large, cut, crispy waffle fries; which are by far tasty. As for dessert, the “Turtle Cheesecake” comes to mind. To illustrate picture a hard Oreo crust, then topped

Where else to begin? Toronto has some of the best restaurants in the world, and its multiculturalism lends itself to a wide variety of cuisines. If you're as committed to carbs as I am, you have to check out Terroni. This Italian restaurant has locations across the city, so you'll be able to access one wherever you're staying, but my personal favourite is the Adelaide site. It’s housed inside of an old court house and jail, and you can even see some of the cells in the washrooms downstairs! This restaurant may have a few quirks (like their refusal to make changes to the menu or serve pre-cut pizza), but the delicious food is definitely worth the slight annoyance. If you prefer pasta, I recommend the Spaghetti al Limone, a tangy lemon dish which is light but still slightly creamy and definitely filling enough for a full meal!…

Fishing bait is a generic term for any type of substance or material which is used to attract fish to a fishing hook or line. In the recent decades, the worldwide shark population has experienced a drastic decline. This is a result of the over-hunting of sharks for their fins. Shark finning- the practice of catching a shark and removing its fins from the rest of its carcass- has become more common as the shark fin trade continues to grow. Sharks are currently being hunted at a much faster rate than they can reproduce, and if the hunting is not stopped, it will lead to their extinction. Despite its cultural significance and the economic benefits that can be gained from it, this trade must be discontinued to prevent the extinction of sharks.…

Fishing out of the keys, it was almost impossible to come back empty handed. Most of the time we would come back with a bloody boat and a cooler full of fish that my dad would need to filet right there on the dock. “Jeremy get the front lines.” “ Jeremy go wash these off.” “Jeremy this, Jeremy that.” I love to go fishing but I don’t really like the constant requests my dad makes nor how long it takes to catch a damn fish. Fishing is something that my dad and I can do together and even after I realized I’m not much of a fisherman, I do enjoy watching my dad filet his catches after a nice morning on the water. I remember one time, I watched as he sliced open fish after fish, all of their guts spilled out all over the dock and I tried to tell if it was a…
