New foundland dogs and golden retrievers are two totally different dogs. Different size, color and personalities. Even though these dogs are different from each other, we still treat them both the same. There are many people in today's society that discriminate based on race, sex, and many more traits about others. Discrimination and injustice are both a serious issues in todays world. One type of discrimination is racism. First of all, many people think different races should be treated different. People think this because back when slaves were around, they were all black. Secondly, some people are stuck in the past on how people (not white) were treated before. Some white people still think they are better than other races. They think other races are different. Lastly, everyone no matter what race should be treated exactly the same. All races in this generation, should be treated the same and get all the same privileges as others. Discrimination is caused by individual’s prejudice and stereotypes about minority groups. According to Simon Wright, discrimination is caused by ignorance, fear and sterototypical points of views. Most people get their views from the media. On television, newspapers, blogs, news websites, and social media sites we constantly air topics based off of politicians, religious leaders, and other influencial famous people. Some of these people may have biased views and many people following them will take their points as fact, without any research of their own. This causes so many issues that eventually lead to discrimination. I find that people want to get ahead of everyone else so they will use whatever is available to them to get the advantage. This could include using sterotypes to create prejudice and then discrimination in order to get themselves ahead of another individual who may be a part of a minority group.…

I have never thought that dogs greatly differed from each other. Dogs have always seemed so simple, one is friendly, the other is not, one is big, the other is not. That was my mindset on dogs until I got a puppy last year. My family made the decision to add to our family, plus the dog we already had could have used a friend. We were looking for a puppy that would be easy to work with.…

Mixed-breed dogs may not be allowed in dog competitions, but they are still suitable to be household pets. According to Josie F. Turner in her article for the AnimalWised, mixed-breed dogs are dogs with two or more dog breeds as descendants. They are born without human intervention or selection. “Litter of mixed-breed puppies can be found in virtually any country in the world,” Turner mentioned. Dogs that are not neutered are the common cause of it. On the other hand, crossbreeds are bred to attain particular qualities or appearances. For example, the Labradoodles are bred to have the Labrador’s temperament and the Poodle’s hypoallergenic coat.…

The places to find examples of gender role are potentially endless, as it affects our daily lives more then we seem to notice. The role of sexism is taught to us from day one. Our parents teach us the roles we are born into. I perceive sexism as any other norm. I don’t give much thought into it and it doesn’t usually influence how I go about my daily routine.…

Discrimination is a positive or negative attitude toward an individual based on his or her membership in a religious, racial, ethnic, political, or other groups (Webster’s New Word Dictionary). Discrimination is still an enormous issue among our nation and the rest of the world. Many people would be in denial of this accusation claiming that discrimination is in the past, but if it's in the past, why is it still a key issue today in our laws? Discrimination is not just about racism or ethnic groups, it involves a lot more than that. Different kinds of discrimination include age, disability, religion, sex( HYPERLINK "http://www.eeoc.gov" www.eeoc.gov). People argue about discrimination all the time. Why is it among us and what can we do about it? These are key questions society talks about. However, none of these questions can fully be answered. Truthfully, the only way it could change is if society itself changes. Society has put discrimination into stereotyping and many other different forms, but discrimination will always be here in some way or another.…

Discrimination is unfair or unequal treatment of an individual based on characteristics such as age, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and plenty other of reasons. Discrimination can occur in schools, health care services, buses/trains, housing, employment, and when voting. This is a big issue and has had a major impact on the past and present. Discrimination has been around for thousands of years and is still going on today. Discrimination has been going on since the Martin Luther King era and that’s what he tried to stop. Movements and protests have been formed to stop discrimination, but unfortunately it is still going on in today’s society. Even though it hasn’t completely stopped, discrimination has been declining in many civil cases but it still exists. Not all forms of discrimination is illegal also. For example, two people are competing to get the last apartment available in a certain section and person 1 has 8 cats and person 2 has 0 pets. The landlord would more than likely accept person 2 because it’s less hassle with the pet issue. In a way that discrimination is illegal is when two people go in for a job interview. Person 1 is an African American female with a college degree and person 2 is a Caucasian female dropout, and the employer picks the Caucasian female just because she’s not black. This form of racial job discrimination is very wrong and needs to stop because the best person should be able to get the job if there resume is good enough.…
