Traditional medicine dates back to as far as the ancient Sumerians, ancient Egypt, and ancient Chine. Muslims had a major impact on developing traditional medicine, and they wrote many books on the topic. These books include works such as the Canon of Medicine and the Book of Healing by Avicenna.
