Differences Between Samurai And Knights
Did you know that Samurai had no respect for their wives. Samurai were warriors who protected the Shogun’s land and military power. In the Middle Ages when this was still going on, the Samurai men got to treat women however they wanted. In this essay I will compare the views of women, religious beliefs, and code of conduct. In this paragraph, I will be focusing how the views of women are for the samurai and the knights. Samurai wives were not free to do what they wanted. They had to follow what any man told them to do and it was not fair. Women had no freedom or equality and it was sad. On the other hand, Knights treated women with politeness and were treated right. Chivalry was a code that was used that was meant to be kind and give women respect. The …show more content…
The samurai went by two types of religion, Zen and Amida Buddhism. Amida Buddhism was a well known practice in which they believed all people can reach paradise. Fact about the knights: The knights religious beliefs was the Roman Catholic Church. The knights were very religious. The church was the middle of medieval life. I would prefer to live with the knights religion because they have such a beautiful church. It was also pretty nice to have your church be the middle of medieval life. Last this paragraph will focus on both knights and samurais code of conduct. The Samurai went by two codes, The Code of Bushido and Sepuku. The Code of Bushido ment way of the warrior which meant large focus on honor and loyalty. Seppuku was a ritual suicide the samurai had to do when they lost their honor or betrayed their Daimyo. Fact about the knight: The Knights went by a code called chivalry. Their code focused on bravery, loyalty, and respect for women. The knights were expected to be loyal, fair, and to protect the helpless. The Knights chivalry made a big impact on today on how the men treat
