Differences In The Film The Power Of One

“Change can come from the power of many but only when the many come together to form which is invisible … the power of one.” This quote is derived from the movie The Power Of One, which reflects the life of a boy named P.K. and the individual experiences and difficulties he goes through whilst living in South Africa during the late 1940’s. The title of the movie is depicting that it is efficient to work together and become one rather than work separately, simply due to the fact that if we become one, there is minimal chance of encountering defeat. Cooperation on completing tasks is only one of the many ways in which people become united. That is to say, a single person may have an ambition to bring hope and joy to the different groups and helps them sort through their differences. P.K. is an example of a person that caused groups to come together. This occurred in the movie several times, for example when P.K. was visiting Doc in jail and had written the lyrics to a song, and they had to perform it but when rehearsing the different groups fought, but they listened to P.K. help them sort through their differences so that they can work together to make the song extraordinary. P.K. held mixed boxing matches, it built a friendship with Duma who inspired P.K. to stand up for black people and have equality between all groups in South Africa.
