At present every country in the world has more stronger relationship because of high technology. There are many people who have to communicate with a foreigner from another country and have a different culture. Not only different country will have a different culture. Even though we are in the same country we still have different culture.
There are some importance of understanding other people’s cultures. Firstly, understanding different cultures can help us reduce misunderstanding and conflict. We are come from many different backgrounds and cultures. The conflicts most of the times stem from misunderstanding of others' behaviors and even speeches, which are resulted from different cultures. For example, between Thailand and Western, in

Mankind. Being informed about others' cultures allows good understanding and consequently strengthens relations between nations. It also helps maintaining peace and love between states regardless of their origins, religions and languages. Communication is far more than an exchange of words. We all communicate with others all the time. The way people communicate varies widely between, and even within, cultures. One aspect of communication style is language usage. Across cultures, some words and phrases are used in different ways. For example, even in countries that share the
English language, the meaning of "yes" varies from "maybe, I'll consider it" to "definitely so," with many shades in between.
Cultural differences can sometimes make relationships difficult. So, understand cultural difference can help us to understand the people who are different from us.
Lastly, understanding different cultures leads the better chance in business. To understand your colleague or your partner in business can help your work easier, especially when you have to work with foreigners or older workers everything you behave might affect to you directly, therefore to know other culture can make other please and impressed in yourself, they will see you as responsible person, Remember!
No one like bad manners As much as you can make they like or impressed you, you would have more chance in your business.
In conclusion, those are just some of the importance of understanding other cultures. The most important is about cross-cultural communication which means it's a basic things to do with people who have different culture from you.
