Dirt Bike Essay
We lined up at the start bikes off, ready to start. I see the flag drop and then we were all off. If you never rode a dirt bike before even for fun you don’t know what you are missing. I am going to say I starting riding around 8 years ago around when I was 9 or 10 years old, I got my first dirt bike on Christmas that year it was a RM 85 I rode that bike everywhere I could go. What got me interested in racing is when I went and watched him race once after that I went with a friend. I didn’t think I would have liked it at first but I and a friend went and we liked it a lot. I was really happy my uncle got me to race because I absolutely love to do it. After the first one I went to everyone that year and I plan on going to everyone this year also. It is just like riding with friend but with a lot more people and to try and get first, but it’s not all about winning it’s about having fun and meeting new people. I never got first yet but I am within the top 10 people of my class, this year my goal is try practice a lot more so I can be good enough to get within the top 5 of my class. The pro racers are extremely fast that if they are coming up behind you in a race you can tell it is a pro coming up because they go really fast that when they come up to a turn they are still full

The day I took off on my 4 wheeler, and left my Mom and Dad in the dust. It started out awesome and fun, then turned out to be very scary. It was July 4, 2013, my family and I loaded up our 4 wheelers for a fun day in the great outdoors. We all unloaded our 4 wheelers, then took off out into the desert. I wanted to see how fast I could go around the sharp corners on dirt roads. It was so much. I was having so much fun seeing how fast I could drive my 4 wheeler, around the sharp dirt road corners, I never looked back.…

I can say it has been over a year since I did my last amateur cross country race, between moving, family/work responsibilities and a self admitted laziness in actually getting my ass to a race early Sunday mornings when I could be sleeping in, I do, in fact miss this part of my cycling experience, therefore I am hoping to join in on the weekend racing festivities next spring when the local mountain bike series starts up again. Even though I have not done much racing lately, I have been doing plenty of riding and having a blast exploring all the sweet trails in my small part of the world. While writing this article on racing I was reminded of all the excitement, nervousness and unplanned chaos that comes hand in hand with weekend racing and…

BMX was started back in 1969 or 1970 nobody is sure. They figure it started in southern California. Kids would modify their Schwinn stingray bicycles and race them. This was happening all over the country. “But it was a particular California gathering of nameless pioneers who were first recorded on film by Bruce Brown’s cameras for the opening credits of his motorcycle film, ON ANY SUNDAY. In July of 1971, those first 4 minutes and 7 seconds of kids catchin’ air and wheelie’ing forever down the street” (USA BMX, 2012). This was the starting of BMX. In recent years this sport has grown in popularity among younger people. It was first called Pedal-cross but then they called it Bicycle Motor-cross, BMX for short.…
