What is management? Why is management necessary? How do you think management has evolved?
Management is the coordination of work activities carried out so efficiently and effectively with others and through them.
Management is necessary because in the work place employees need a leader to follow.
I believe management has evolved because now, a manager performs more and more activities in order to accomplish a specific goal.
What are the four functions of management? What do the four functions of management have in common? How do managers at different levels apply the four functions of management?
The functions of management are to control, planning, directs and organizes. These four functions have in common that all are used to achieve a specific goal. It depends of the level of “power” that a manager has because some of them are just subordinates.
How do the four functions of management affect organizational success? Which function of management do you think is the most important? Why?
The success of the organization depends on the capacity and availability of the management. If these four functions are solid will not affect the organizational success.
What is the purpose of environmental scanning? List internal and external environmental factors. How do internal and external factors affect the four functions of management?
Environmental scanning is an important part of measuring the positive and negative effects of a project or event. Also, it is market research. The environmental scanning is used to describe the practice of tracking the factors that effect a retail market , such as in economics , in the social scene, social demographics , political culture and age. What are the steps in the decision-making process? What has been your experience with the decision-making process? What did you learn from those experiences?
