Diversity Is Beneficial For The Growth Of A Company
Diversity is important for any company to succeed. Without diversity, a company cannot grow or move forward. Different viewpoints and background can spring a business forward with new ideas. If every company had the same type of people, it would be limited in terms of progress. There are several companies that have strong diversity policies, while others still have a lot to learn. There are many reasons as to why diversity is beneficial for the growth of a company. For starters, companies that have a strong dedication to diversity have a better brand image. One industry that is still lacking in diversity to this day is Hollywood. Although Hollywood has made decent strides in the past 2 years of hiring and producing films with minorities and women in them, there is still a very long way to go. If diversity and equal opportunity was present, nobody would feel comfortable enough to commit such disgusting acts. Equal opportunity creates a better culture for people of all kinds to feel welcome. It is much harder for women in Hollywood today than in other industries. Every movie studio company should be held accountable and increase their efforts into making films that include women both on and off the screen. Creating a diverse and rich culture should be mandatory for a company to find success. The best candidate should be chosen for positions regardless of what they look like or their life outside of work. There are companies finding great success with a diverse workforce, while other entire industries seem to be stuck in the stone age. Either way diversity is gaining more and more ground as the years go on and eventually there will be no barriers that will not be

This discrepancy in the payment amounts is relevant to males as well as females. Although both genders experience a pay gap within their own gender groups, minority women face a larger pay gap, not only because they are not white actresses, but also because they are females. Male minority actors are able to get away with more when it comes to unequal wages. The main question here is: why does race have an effect on wages received by same gender actors/actresses? Racial inequality has been an issue for many years, but the definition of what racial inequality really stems from has been even more complicated than it seems to be at first. By looking at race through the Marxist lens, this may show some enlightenment on the matter of the pay gap at hand.…

It has been stated that a diverse workplace is a crucial piece to building a strong and inclusive economy that is built to stand the test of time (. This could very well be the foundation to the current workplace diversity movement, but the statistics show otherwise, especially for African Americans. Whites make up about 64% of this nation’s workforce, while the remaining 36% are of people of color including the modest 12% that Blacks/African Americans occupy. This statistics shrinks significantly when…
