INTRODUCTION
Background of the Study
Technological innovations have never spared the world of computers. Researches in computer software are so extensive that almost all fields of science and mathematics have benefited from computers. Recent development has brought tangible improvements in almost every task of man.
At present, technology is applied in research institution, in the academe and in every kind of office. These developments have been, in particular, applied in economics, history, medicine, engineering, space science, archaeology, and in other specific discipline.
Fortunate as it may seem, software applications are commonly used by universities, establishments and institutions for their modernization and advancement of technology in the form of data processing. File records and spreadsheet handouts are basically simple form of basic transaction and other record processing.
The phenomenal growth of the World Wide Web has not spared the Philippines. The Philippines rolled out its own Internet server and website (http://www.WOWPhilippines.com.ph). Although far from complete, the website features press releases, statistical data, and information on civil registration, publications, and other relevant dissemination materials. The website contains the different regions of the Philippines which features the major tourist spots of its provinces, rural traditions, native riddles proverbs, folksongs, folktales, legends and myths, foretell that each province has a highly developed vibrant culture and traditions.
In Sorsogon City, the existing website (http:// www.sorsogontourism.com) which features the different beautiful places of Sorsogon and its location was developed by the non-profit organization council. It is capable of displaying related information that can be used by different internet users. However, there is a need for the provincial government organization to create and develop its own website to provide tourism promotion and
