I agree on most things for the idea of having a dog park, because it can be good for your dog to get out and get to know more dogs and other people. Dogs being cramped up in a house all the time can be bad, like misbehaveing or running off. Dog parks can be great places to meet new people and show the love of you dog to others. Dog parls can be aplace to let your dog play, run, and just have fun. Dog parks arent just for dogs the can also help people socialize and possibly help someone with a mental illness such as depression. Things can get out of control fast with dogs, to break them up is extremely difficult without getting injured yourself and being able to get them away from one another. From my past experinces with pitbulls and other big dogs they can be stuborn and mean natured. I also think if they were going to make a dog park it shouldn't be exactly in the middle of everyone, because it can be stressful to others that don't have a dog. I think there should be certain permissions one should have in order to allow a person and their dog into the park like a behavior class. It can be good and bad in many ways like it will be helpful to keep crime low in that area. In all I think can be a good idea to have one but with alittle more rules and not right in the of the community. I think if they made it people and the dogs would love it more if it was made. I think if it were to be made it should supurvised at all times. I think there should be a place for first aid, I also think that dogs in training should have certain parts of the park to be

In my opinion I would have to disagree with building dog parks in Muscatine, Iowa. My main reason for disagreeing with building a park for dogs is my son is allergic to dogs. Some dog owners can be very irresponsible when it comes to cleaning up after their dogs poo on the grass. Why should the city fund a dog park with taxpayer money when that money can be used to build a recreational area for residents.…

Being a dog owner myself, I encourage all city officials to consider the development of dog parks for their residents. The ability to utilize a dog park in my local city has not only allowed my dog to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but it's also allowed me to enjoy the outdoors with my best friend, while creating new friends in the process. I find this type of recreation more enjoyable and healthy for all involved, as opposed to being stuck indoors trying to entertain or please a bored canine. Taking my dogs on regular trips to the dog park allows them to sleep better at night, encourages them behave well in social environments and also helps them maintain their weight and physicial appearance. I couldn't be more of an advocate for these facilities.…

My personal opinion on the matter is that as long as the dog park is going to be a positive impact on the neighborhood. In both articals it talked about the positve and negative aspects of building a dog park in the local area, One of the leading arguments for the positive side is that the majority of the pet owners live in an apartment complex and do not have space for their dogs to run free due to city ordinance. The fact that in new york dog bite reports went down from 40,000 to fewer than 4,000 per year is enough concrete evadience to allow an area to be put aside for a dog park to be built.…

As a young child my family had a dog. We loved to play with him, but noticed that we had limited yard space to play games such as fetch or even tag. We lived in a small apartment complex, and were forbidden to enter other neighbors yard. My sisters and I felt that a dog park in our town would be just enough space to play without the drama of disrubting the neighbors. In the passage, Gizmo's owner strongly believes that there should be a dog park in his town of Muscatine, Iowa. I as a previous dog owner my self believe that this would be a great idea.…

The city is definitely in need of a dog park. It would benefit not just the dog owner and the dog but the entire community. We all know that dogs can be very loud and very annoying but all they need is a place to let out all that energy. My dog is an english springer spaniel and he has alot of energy. Half the time he is bouncing off the walls just begging for someone to play with him or take him on a walk or run. In cedar Rapids we have a dog park and its a great place to take him, after about a half hour of running and playing with the other dogs he falls asleep on the couch for a couple hours meaning I got time to relax. The dog park is great to have in the city because you can’t take your dog really anywhere else without him or her having a leash on. I don’t see why Muscatine wouldn’t introduce a dog park to the city because overall it does more good when it comes to exercise of the dog and its behavior.…

My number one reason for adopting a dog is their companionship. A dog’s love for their owner is unconditional. Dogs don’t care in the morning if you have morning breath or if you have no make-up on, they will still be there to greet you and is just as happy to see you when you come home after a long stressful day. They will meet you at the door tail wagging ready to give you hugs and kisses because you’re home. Greetings like those can make all your stress and worries go away. A dog’s loyalty can be quite amazing, whether it being someone for you to cuddle with or company on the couch, your dog will always be by your side. In fact, your dog will even follow you from room to room to be by your side. The greatest thing about a dog is that they are never judgmental. Dogs don’t care about the kind of house you live in, the kind of car you drive or if you wear name brand clothes or not, they will always love you for you. Your dog will always be there listening and wagging their tail when you are having a bad day, feeling angry and talking loud. And when you raise your voice at them because they have done something wrong, they always forgive you. They also never complain if you are late feeding them. Dogs can be a great sidekick and a very significant part your family.…
