Dogs Are Better Than Cats
Dogs are the best companions

“A dog is a man’s best friend” this is one of many quotes that explains the importance of having a dog rather than a cat. There are a numerous reasons why a dog is considered more valuable to have than a cat. A dog will keep the owner unharmed and fit. Canines are also intelligent and are more willing to learn. In addition, dogs are selfless and more delighted to be with you than a cat will ever be. In my opinion I also feel that dogs are physically more interesting than cats because there are countless different types of dogs to choose from. Mostly all cats look the same except for their colors but their faces and sizes are extremely similar. Dogs are definitely better companions than cats will ever be. To begin, dogs keep their owners fit and out of harms way as much as they possibly can. Walking is a very important exercise needed in a person’s and a dog’s everyday life. Even if it’s just one walk around the block with your dog it’s still a great exercise to keep you healthy and fit. Many pet owners also take their dogs to the dog park, which is a great way to bond with your companion, stay healthy, and have fun. Canines also keep you out of harms way by sensing when danger is near. Some homes don’t even need alarm systems because their dogs are more than enough protection. Cats will not even try to defend you and only worry about their safety. There are also many stories where dogs rescue their owners from fires and from drowning in the water. This shows how selfless dogs really are and they would do anything to keep their owners safe. The intelligence of a dog is a lot greater than a cat in many ways. Dogs can be taught many tricks such as jumping, barking, giving paw, and standing on two feet. They are willing to entertain their owners and spend all their time with them. Dogs know when they are doing something wrong and will obey their owners whenever they’re told to do something. Many of my friends have pet cats at their

For the years that we have been living we all have come to realize that dogs are more trainable than cats. Canines have been trained to care for their owners, fetch news papers and some are trained as watch dogs for the blind. Others are close in social status to a Deputy – sometimes referred to as Deputy Dogs. This is pretty remarkable to think that we have dogs that are capable of recognizing and, attacking criminals, identifying drugs and placing criminals under arrest. In most cases we have dogs that are trained to be remarkable house dogs. Dogs have been trained over the years to perform entertaining tricks such as, roll over, fetch, shake hand and even play dead. There are many dogs which have developed bad habits. Special attention and training programs have been developed to assist dogs in shaking these bad habits. These bad habits include, biting, chewing on furniture and rugs, digging holes, barking consistently without apparent reason and most of all, house soiling. Cats on the other hand belong to the feline family and are not as trainable as dogs. There is just a significant limit to their training. Yes they are able to be home trained - to prevent house soiling, but to prevent them from damaging your furniture with their claws, you basically have to clip the claws. When cats are kept as pets, they become attached to their human…

I will be continuing with the differences between these two loving animals. One of the main differences is their species. The cats belong to the family of felines, and dogs are canines. Another difference is that dogs are pack animals. That means you have to spend lots of time with your dog so that it doesn’t get lonely and sad. Cats are loners, which means they can spend much time alone without even caring. Another huge difference is the sounds that come out of their mouths. A dog goes woof, bark, growl, or howl. A cat, on goes meow and purr. The canine family also has a particular social status, how they determine their rank. Cats don’t care. The determining factor in dogs is its tail. When a cat sticks its tail up, it means it’s happy, but when it comes to dogs, how high they hold their tail is how they tell their rank.…
