Dorothy Parker won the O.Henry award for the biography she wrote herself in 1929, the short story was called “Big Blonde”. Her very first collection of poetry was published in 1926. In 1959, she was recruited into the American Academy of Arts and Letters and was a visiting professor at California State College in Los Angeles in 1963. She was also listed on the editorial board.When she was younger she was enrolled in a Catholic grammar school.Although her father was Jewish, Dorothy attended Catholic school until age 13, when she was enrolled in an exclusive private school where she found a love of language and literature as well as political issues and current events. She wrote many poems for newspapers and magazines. John William Waterhouse was an English painter known for working first in the Academic style. He was enrolled in the Royal Academy of Art. In total, he produced 118 paintings in his entire time. He painted about the life of beautiful women, all his paintings had great meaning. Telemachus fought with one of the suitors and gained his father’s trust and respect. Penelope knew her husband was alive so she said that when she finished a task she would make a choice but she just kept undoing it to stall to wait for Odysseus.Penelope said whoever strings Odysseus bow and shoots an arrow through a dozen loops will be her husband.
