People can’t predict what happen when they are driving, even though they follow the traffic rules. The advertisement above is a warning about drinking alcohol while driving and the DUI accidents (Driving Under the Influence), which may cause many unpredictable deaths. People who drink a lot always think that they can drive home, but they can’t control the risk of accidents that they may cause when they are driving. They are not only killing themselves by causing damage, but they are also killing the innocent victims who are on their way back home with their family. This ad is giving an apparent message about the statistic of amounts of injuries and damages to human’s lives when people are driving under the influence. This essay will analyze three different perspectives and the effectiveness of each point of view.
The color yellow shows how dangerous alcohol use may harm the body tissue since it absorbs into the blood stream and destroys the immune system. On the other hand, drunk drivers will be caught by police officers if they are caught with the alcohol concentration that is higher than 0.08%. Moreover, the color navy is telling the percentage of all the highest death tolls and the most common issue from drunk driving. The logos persuaded in this ad verify the statistic of how prejudice that drunk drivers may cause. According to the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention reports, 9.967 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes and nearly 31% of traffic related death in the U.S in 2014. In addition, the number of drunk driving crashes are increasing every year, 10.265 people died, one person was killed every 51 minutes, and 290,000 people were injured in 2015 (MADD).
