The aggressive drivers are seriously the best drivers overall, and they have to be. If they weren't such great drivers they would get into much more accidents then they do. These drivers have the uncanny ability to squeeze through the smallest openings as they weave through every car that gets in their path. They always seem to be in the biggest hurry as they drive inches behind your car waiting for the opportunity to pass you. Then once they pass you they give you some gesture, like you were going twenty miles under the speed limit when actually you were going over the speed limit.
The slow drivers are another type and are always those eighty-year-old grandparents that go at least ten miles under the speed limit at all times. They're usually always driving cars that look almost as ancient as themselves. These types of driver also have the special ability to know when you are in a hurry and get in front of you while your driving on a one way street. While they're in front of you they go 35 in a 45 mile per hour zone and they stop early whenever they see something suspicious in front of them. Even if it is a bicyclist that has five feet of room to spare the slow driver will slow down even more to be careful as they can.
Then there is the uncertain driver who never really knows exactly where they want to go and flashes his blinkers in every direction. They get in the right lane right in front of you, slow down, and are about to turn when they realize they are going the wrong way. Then the car jerks and they continue to drive right in front of you. Like the slow driver the uncertain driver drives at slow speeds but then speeds up when he realizes what speed he is going. The biggest problem is you have no idea where they are going and neither do they.
These drivers are always the ones who get into the most car accidents. Even though the aggressive drivers are best overall it is inevitable that their dare devil driving will get them into a car accident. The slow driver always seems to get into a lot of accidents that they usually consider is not their fault. They could be stopping suddenly for something that spooks them and the unsuspecting motorist behind them may crash into the rear of their car. Then comes the uncertain driver with their constant lane changing and not knowing where they are going. They inevitably switch lanes and crash right into the side of another vehicle. All of these drivers have their problems but even I am sometime classified as one of these and I feel I am a very good driver.

Although most of the road rage scenarios given could have been avoided, there are precautions that could be taken in order to avoid them all together. It’s a simple solution, but often times, especially in the heat of the moment, can be hard to overcome. As a driver at the receding end of road rage, one must face the ability to remain calm. That would entail, no cutting each other off like a game of cat and mouse as the young driver did. Or even arguing/ screaming out like mothers tend to with their small children present. While certainly the need for avoiding gestures, that would tell the other person to bleep off, like Delanie did. All of the factors could potentially stop a bad situation from going to…

An individual may arrive at an intersection where two lanes of traffic flow together. Without affecting any other drivers in his or her proximity, the individual allows the driver from the incoming flow of traffic to slip in front of them. This type of driving behavior may be more empathic without the praise of others. When a driver attempts to let someone in traffic at an inappropriate time, it interferes with the flow of traffic. This type of driving behavior may stem more from gaining social approval from others even though it is potentially irritating for the surrounding population.…

Drivers around you may not drive as fast as you or as slow as you, but you must have patience during these times even if you become upset. It might have been a long day at work or something at home could be the only worry on your mind which could be causing you to become upset. Something as simple as a red light that will not turn green can cause you to become upset, but again, you must stay calm and have patience. If a driver becomes impatient and begins driving erratically, something dangerous could happen to yourself or those around you. For instance, the driver could run the red light and hit another driver in the intersection. Always stay calm and patient while behind the wheel. Patience will keep the driver and passengers’ safe.…

The definition of aggressive driving is: driving any type of vehicle or affecting any type of manoeuvre on a vehicle in which the driver deliberately behaves in such a manner as to increase the risk of a road accident. For example, speeding, meaning the driver is exceeding the speed limit or is driving too fast for the road conditions; excessive lane changing, changing lanes without reasonable cause; improper passing, failing to signal intent, using emergency lanes or shoulders to pass or even cutting into another car’s path; tailgating, driving near the back of the car at too close of a range. If you find yourself in an unpleasant situation involving abusive or aggressive gestures or languages from other drivers, don’t get angry and repeat what they are…

When you speed, you have less time to react to unexpected situations. Other drivers have less time to react to your situation. With that being said, you can easily harm someone or yourself if not kill them by not watching your surroundings. Because like stated before, you not only have little time to react at the normal speed of traffic; but now you are speeding which takes away from the normal time, in return gives you minimal to NO time to react at all.…

Elderly people are notoriously poor drivers, and have a disproportionate number of accidents. With the exception of very new drivers, as a group elderly people have the highest accident rate. One reason why this may be so is that older people generally received their licenses decades ago, and are possibly not aware of the new traffic laws. However, this is probably not the major factor. It is more likely that seniors are less competent drivers because of their diminished sensory capacity and slower processing speed. Hearing and vision tend to become less sharp with age, and as a result older people might not see objects in their path, or hear warning horns. Furthermore, their reflexes tend to be slower. That is, even if they do hear or see dangerous objects, their slower reaction time might prevent them from responding in time to avoid the danger. In addition, elderly drivers (perhaps in an attempt to compensate for the above) tend to drive too slowly, often considerably slower than the posted speed limit. Their excessive caution and slow pace tends to irritate other drivers, who may swerve or react angrily, which may increase the possibility of accidents.…

Some people say I’m a speed demon. Some people say I have a heavy foot. Some people say I drive like a maniac. But according to me, I just like to think about getting where I’m going, fast. Really fast. Just because I would much rather prefer going fast, it does not mean I am not careful. In fact, I am more careful than probably any other driver I know. I might go 20 or so miles over the speed limit at any given time, but I do it with great care and while paying attention. I slowdown at intersections (in case some idiot driver blows through a stop sign), tap the brakes when I see a car backing out of a driveway (in case they do not see me coming), and I give people all the space they need to walk on the side of the road or even sidewalk. I…
