Driving While Driving
Some states have now made it illegal to drive while using a hand-held cell phone. I agree with the law a hundred percent. Driving while on a phone can cause many horrible predicaments. These predicaments may include a death of the person driving and anyone in the vehicle, making another person veer off the road and hurt themselves due to the action of the person using their phone, or getting in trouble with the law for not driving properly. These topics of horrible things that could happen to you while using a phone can be very tragic and should convince people not to ever use their phone.
When using a cellular device while driving, there is a high risk that a person might hurt themselves and the people in their car. Phones are a great attribute
to life in general, but only when you are not having to concentrate on something else that desires your complete attention. Just a quick glance and a person could easily hit anything in their surroundings. Once a person hits something in their surroundings, I think that it would make a person feel guilty and may never want to drive again.
When a person is not attentive to their own surroundings, they may not even know that they are going into someone else’s lane. This causes the person in the other car to try and veer away from the incoming car. When a person has to try and get away from an oncoming car, the person may panic and not know what to do in this instance. This may include them getting hurt or even getting killed. I think this law should have been made a long time ago to prevent the deaths of these innocent people that did not deserve to die.
While in my lifetime, I have seen all of these people on their phones and never getting in trouble with the police even though they are driving all over the place instead of the place they are meant to be. Now that this law is made, the people that are scared of the road can finally have some type of peace since there is the not that many people on their phones. When caught texting while driving by the law, it would make sense that the person would not do this anymore. Thanks to cops enforcing this law, we can have less accidents and have more lives prospering.
Furthermore, driving inattentively is not only bad for you, it is also dangerous for everything and everyone around you. This includes hurting yourself, other people, or getting in trouble with the law. The fact that people think they can text and drive and not hurt anybody in the process disgusts me to a point I cannot even stand. This law will benefit everyone and everything that lives on Earth.
