Q1 Introduction
Drug and alcohol use among under the legal age is lessening more and more by the years. Though it is still a large problem, not to the extent of how many are using, but how often they use and what effect it has around them.
Everyone has access to prescription drugs, it is easy to buy and can be extremely dangerous to mess with. Even if the percentage is low, it still has a large effect on the people around them.
My outlook on the situation is that there may not be many underage drinkers and drug users, but there still are. Its still a massive problem, I personally know many underage drinkers and plenty of drug users, I have no experience with drugs or alcohol, not to be mistaken that I have felt pressured to try. That, to me, is a bigger problem.
34% of 12-17 year old high school students report

Consumed alcohol at risky or high-risk levels in the past
Week.

Q.2 analyse 5 reasons why some young people take drugs and alcohol
1.Easy access:
Many parents smoke tobacco, or have the occasional wine or beer, cigarettes and alcohol is easy to come by, so why not take advantage and experiment a little. Young people are sometimes bought up in a home that is constantly taking advantage of alcohol, so they assume it is in their nature, and correct, for them to be doing so also
2.Peer pressure:
Its not as easy as just saying ‘no’. Not everyone will shrug it off and leave you alone, many people are persistent and keep trying to you to ‘loosen up’ and ‘have fun’. Because there’s obviously nothing more fun than getting addicted and ‘you can never have a fun party without drugs’.
People can subconsciously be pressured into drugs and alcohol
