Playing drums is also a passion of mine, and in order to be good at this, you have to follow certain steps. First, you have to know this instrument by recognizing its parts. Second, you have to choose carefully your hardware; thirdly, you have a good instructor, or find good lessons online. And finally, you have to have time to practice.. Although many people believe that drums are very difficult to learn, I believe that such is wonderful and very fun because it could help us to increase our rhythm and our musical abilities.
The first step of knowing how to play drums is recognizing its parts. This amazing instrument is formed by a variety of parts, and you can construct it the way you want. But, for now, I would show you the main parts of this instrument. The bass drum is one of the most important parts of the drums. This is set on the floor in the middle of all the drum set. It’s used along with a pedal and is played with the drummer’s right foot. Another very important part is the snare, this is placed between your two legs and it’s used to give the rhythm or the main sound to this instrument. The hi- hats are located to the left side of the snare. There are two little cymbals that clap, and are used to make the beat with the snare company. The tom-toms and the floor tom are other important parts of the drums that complement the beat.
The next step to start playing drums is to know the cymbals. These artifacts are used to create a more emphasizing style while you are playing. You can find a lot of varieties of cymbals, but remember to always choose the ones that fit more into your own drum style. The most common cymbals are: The crash cymbals.
