I am currently taking AP Statistics and plan to take AP Calculus AB and BC my senior year. Because I am consistently strong in math - for example, as demonstrated by my PSAT's - I believe the Duke TIP Advanced Mathematics program will allow me to reinforce whether I want to major in something math-related/-based by exposing me to critical math as used in the real-world. Likewise, I want to determine whether I want to study psychology, which has always been a subject that I found fascinating but wasn't sure how to determine whether I excelled in it; I did make an A in my summer dual credit Introduction to Psychology course, though. Therefore, because I believe what's first priority is exploring one's strength, and then one's interest, the Clinical Psychology program would be my second choice. Nevertheless, I would greatly appreciate and love to have the opportunity to participate in either of the programs. I would benefit and learn greatly about my true strengths/interests from this experience, and I also particularly look forward to meeting and learning from peers who have similar
