The sample years considered for this study Industrial Relations in Bokaro Steel Plant are the past 5 years beginning from 2001 to July, 2005.
The study reveals that there has been an 88% decline in the number if grievance cases pending at the end of the month beginning 30th April, 2004 to 30th June, 2005. The results of the analysis indicate that there has been a considerable decline in the number of IR incidents annually, though the IR incidents reach to the peak during the months of August to October. These are the festive months in this area and hence the issue of bonus becomes highlighted leading to a number of demonstrations and meetings. The number if IR incidents occurring at the start of the year i.e. January and at the end of the year i.e. December have reduced compared to previous years.
