EDM 310: What I Learned In My Class
My experienced in the EDM 310 has been great. I can honestly say that it is one of the few classes that I have really enjoyed throughout the various courses I have taken. When I signed up for this class in the fall of last year I really didn’t know what to expect from this class I just knew that it was a class that I was required to take. There are a few reasons as to why I have enjoyed this class. I enjoyed this class because I did not have to buy a textbook or worry about a textbook in general. Not having a textbook for this class just proves that you can learn a lot without having to do readings or book work and I got to save some money. I also enjoyed this class because I did not have to worry about taking a test or studying for one. Although we didn’t take any test I can say that I have learned a lot and that I have retained the information that has been taught.
Over the course of this semester, I have completed many projects and assignments. The first assignment that I had to complete for this class was the introduction video about myself. In doing this

The Interactive Power Point was the project that I like the most because it was something that I was already familiar with and I learned some news things about Power Point that I didn’t know. With doing these different projects we were allowed so much creative space, which made doing these assignments more enjoyable. I feel that I have become more tech-savvy since the beginning of this class. I also had good group members that were willing to help me when I had questions. This class has helped me build up my confidence in me being a good teacher one day. I hope that I can use everything that I have learned to help further educate the next generation of students. EDM 310 is a great class to take and I recommend that all future educators take this class so that it can help them be a successful

As a teacher it is my responsibility to create a safe learning environment where my students feel confident and are equipped to achieve their learning goals (Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership [AITSL], 2014). I see it as an amazing challenge to make learning interesting and school a place my students want to be. When planning learning experiences for my students I need to consider the five dimensions of teaching and learning; sequencing teaching and learning, making judgements, feedback, curriculum intent and assessment (Education Queensland, 2011). The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is vital for both engaging this ‘tech savvy’ generation as well as to make important connections to their home life (Baek, 2009). ICT is also a valuable way to expose…

My First class is ceramics. I have loved this class since day one because I love hands on projects. In ceramics we start our day off with working on our sketches aka bellwork. Once the 10 minutes is up we work on our projects. So far we have made a bowl, a sphere that shows movement and currently we are working on a mug. We have learned a lot on the tools that we a using. For an example the slab roller has flattened all the clay that helps us cut even…

This class has taught me many things about myself along with many necessary skills needed while writing. I know now that, through hard work and determination, I can achieve what I might think to be impossible. While reflecting back on my initial writing abilities, I see the weak, uneducated style of writing. Each essay shows my progression and improvement, and, after a while, the class began to become much easier. Today, after practicing throughout my essays this semester, I believe that I, in fact, have…
